XGS Tracking

XGS stands for Xpress Global Systems, a freight carrier based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is not a parcel courier. XGS specializes in floor coverings and hard-to-handle freight: carpet rolls, hard-surface flooring, LVP and LVT, and similar oversized goods that standard carriers struggle with.

This matters for tracking. If you are expecting the kind of scan-by-scan updates you get from a parcel carrier, XGS will look sparse by comparison. LTL freight moves through a linehaul network where shipments are consolidated onto trailers at one terminal and broken down at the next. Scans happen at terminals, not at every handling step.

XGS runs a Flagship Distribution Model with over 30 facilities, 16 of which are equipped for custom cutting. Most customers are flooring mills, retailers, distributors, and installers rather than individual consumers.

How to Track XGS Shipments

Enter your XGS PRO number or Bill of Lading number in the box above and select Track.

You will find this number on your shipping confirmation or BOL paperwork from the shipper. If you bought flooring from a retailer and they arranged the freight, the PRO number comes from them, not from XGS directly.

A few practical notes:
- New shipments may not show results until the origin terminal scans them, which can take a business day.
- Terminal scans often lag over weekends and holidays. A 48 hour gap on a Saturday is not a problem.
- If your tracking suddenly shows a different carrier name, the shipment may have been interlined through a partner network. This is normal in LTL freight.

XGS Tracking Number

XGS uses PRO numbers and Bill of Lading numbers rather than individual package barcodes. There is no single fixed digit count you can rely on, since the format depends on how the shipment was booked and whether an interline partner was involved.

If your number is not returning anything, check that you are using the freight PRO or BOL and not the retailer's sales order number. Flooring orders frequently carry both.

For account holders, XGS runs a customer portal at my.xgsi.com which is better suited to managing several shipments at once than looking up one PRO number at a time.

XGS Delivery Information

Transit time depends on the lane and distance. Within the XGS network, 1 to 5 business days is typical, though flooring freight often involves scheduling that a parcel delivery does not.

Freight delivery is different from parcel delivery in ways that surprise first-time recipients:
- Most freight deliveries require someone available to receive and inspect the shipment.
- Residential and job-site deliveries usually need an appointment rather than arriving unannounced.
- Inspect for damage before signing. Once you sign clean, a damage claim becomes much harder.

If tracking shows an exception, that generally means a delay, a damage note, or an address problem that needs resolving. Contact XGS customer service at 844-947-7447 with your PRO number rather than waiting for the status to clear on its own.

XGS International Tracking

XGS operates as a domestic carrier within the United States. It is not an international parcel service, so if you are tracking a shipment coming from overseas, XGS is unlikely to be the carrier you are looking for.

If your flooring was imported, the international leg would have been handled by an ocean or air freight forwarder before the goods entered a domestic network. In that case you would need the forwarder's reference number for the overseas portion, and the XGS PRO number only covers movement inside the US.

Frequently Asked Questions About XGS Tracking

No. XGS is an LTL freight carrier focused on flooring and building materials. It moves pallets and rolled goods, not envelopes or small packages. This is why its tracking works on PRO and BOL numbers instead of package barcodes.

Usually not. LTL freight is scanned at terminals rather than at every handling point, and terminal scans lag over weekends and holidays. If there has been no movement for several business days, call XGS at 844-947-7447 with your PRO number.

It appears on the Bill of Lading and on the shipping confirmation from whoever arranged the freight. If you ordered flooring through a retailer, ask them for the PRO number. Do not use the sales order number, since that will not return tracking results.

Not necessarily. LTL carriers interline shipments through partner networks when a lane requires it, and the shipment can appear under the partner's name during that leg. It is standard practice in freight, though it is worth confirming with XGS if the change is unexplained.

An exception means something needs attention: a delay, a damage note, or an address issue. It is not a display problem that resolves itself. Call XGS customer service with your PRO number to find out what is holding the shipment.
