Sending Tracking

Sending is the trading name of Sending Transporte Urgente y Comunicacion, S.A.U, a Spanish carrier founded in 1989 and headquartered in Coslada, just outside Madrid. It runs with around 200 employees and works mainly with businesses and e-commerce retailers rather than walk-in consumers.

Its network covers mainland Spain, Portugal and Andorra, plus the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and the Azores.

That island coverage matters more than it sounds. Mainland deliveries travel by road. Anything going to the islands moves by air or sea, which introduces schedules, port handling and in the case of the Canary Islands a customs step that mainland shipments never face. Most complaints about slow Sending deliveries trace back to this difference rather than to anything going wrong.

Your number comes from the seller or whoever arranged the shipment. Sending is a business focused carrier, so if you bought something online, the retailer holds the shipping account and issues the tracking reference to you.

Practical notes:
- A new shipment may show nothing until it is scanned at the origin depot. Give it until the next business day.
- Updates cluster around depot handling and delivery attempts rather than arriving continuously.
- If you are searching in Spanish, seguimiento Sending and rastrear envio Sending refer to the same thing.

Sending issues an alphanumeric tracking reference at the time of shipment. Enter it exactly as given, without spaces.

If your number returns nothing, check whether you are using the retailer's order number instead. Spanish e-commerce confirmations frequently show both a numero de pedido and a numero de seguimiento on the same page, and only the second one works for tracking.

Each parcel in a multi-item order carries its own reference, so an order split across two boxes will have two numbers.

Delivery time depends heavily on where the parcel is going.

Mainland Spain and Portugal move by road, and urgent services are built around next business day delivery within the peninsula.

The islands are different:
- Balearic Islands and Azores travel by air or sea, which adds transit days and depends on sailing or flight schedules.
- Canary Islands add a further step. The Canaries sit outside the EU customs and VAT territory, so parcels arriving there clear customs and may attract IGIC, the local tax, plus handling charges. A shipment can sit at this stage for several days even though nothing has gone wrong.

If tracking has gone quiet:
- Under 48 hours between depot scans is normal.
- A parcel showing customs status for the Canaries usually needs paperwork or payment, not patience. Contact the sender.
- For anything beyond a few business days with no movement, the retailer who booked the shipment can raise it with Sending directly. They have account level visibility that a public tracking lookup does not.

Sending is a regional carrier, not a global one. Its own network covers the Iberian Peninsula, Andorra and the Spanish and Portuguese islands.

If your parcel is arriving from outside that area, Sending is most likely handling only the final delivery leg after another carrier brought it into Spain or Portugal. Your Sending reference then covers just that last stage, and the earlier part of the journey sits under a different tracking number from the original carrier or forwarder.

Shipments between mainland Spain and the Canary Islands are worth flagging separately. Although both are Spanish territory, the Canaries are outside the EU customs union, so these shipments are treated more like an export than a domestic delivery, with customs documentation and local tax applying.
