Practical notes:
- Your consignment number comes from whoever booked the freight. If a retailer arranged delivery of your furniture or building supplies, they hold the reference.
- Freight is scanned at depots and handling points, not continuously. Fewer updates is normal, not a fault.
- For deliveries of bulky items, it is common practice in New Zealand freight for the carrier to make contact ahead of time to arrange an ETA rather than simply arriving.

Manga Freight uses consignment references rather than the standardised barcode formats you see on postal parcels. The exact format depends on how the shipment was booked and whether it came through the domestic network or the international forwarding side.

If your number returns nothing, check that you are not using a retailer's sales order number. Furniture and building supply orders often list several references on the same paperwork, and only the consignment number will return freight tracking.

For international shipments arriving into New Zealand, the reference may only become active once the goods have cleared customs and entered the domestic network.

Around Auckland, same day delivery is part of the standard service offering.

Between North Island main centres, overnight direct service covers Auckland, Wellington, Whangarei, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier, Hastings, New Plymouth, Whanganui and Palmerston North.

Beyond that, add time for:
- South Island destinations, since freight crosses Cook Strait by ferry and is subject to sailing schedules.
- Rural addresses, which sit outside main delivery runs and are typically serviced less frequently.
- Bulky or awkward items that need a specific vehicle or a second person to unload.

If tracking has been quiet for a couple of business days, that is often just the gap between depot scans. If the shipment appears stalled for longer, contact whoever booked it, since they hold the account and can chase it directly.

On the international side, Manga Freight acts as a freight forwarder rather than an end to end carrier, particularly on trade routes between New Zealand and Asia. Services cover air freight for urgent or high value goods, sea freight including LCL consolidation, and customs clearance.

For an inbound shipment, the journey usually looks like this:
- Collection and consolidation at origin, often handled by an overseas partner
- International air or sea transport
